Exploring iPhone 2.0: Wordpress app

After updating my iPhone to firmware 2.0, I’m now testing all the great apps in the App store. One app I ran into is the Wordpress app. In the description they’re promising me I will able to write posts from my iPhone.

Curious as I am, I want to test this. So here I am, writing a post about this app.

Writing a post is quite simple and intuitive, I’m even able to preview the post and to add pictures. I picked a random picture from my trip to New York last year. This picture should appear on the bottom of the post.

One thing I still run into is missing the ability to copy & paste. The is not caused by the Wordpress app, but a general iPhone shortcoming. I have no idea how in the world I could include links without writing them down and fully type them (mmm, this really sounds old-fashioned).

So far so good, now let’s publish this post to see what it actually looks like.

Palringo introduces multiservice IM for Iphone

What of all us Iphone users were looking for quite some time now, is introduced by Palringo today; An Instant Messaging that handles multiple IM services.

“Palringo integrates with several existing popular instant-messaging (IM) services: AOL’s AIM, Google Talk, Yahoo! Messenger, Gadu Gadu, ICQ, Jabber and Windows Live Messenger. People can also use Palringo to contact their friends using iChat, Apple’s IM client.”

Hi Everybody,

It’s official, this is really my first post on my own weblog. Allthough I guess I’m the only one reading this post for the first few months, it does feel like a milestone.

I’ll try to keep you updated on all that’s keeping me busy in my personal life. For all that don’t know me, let’s summarize what has got my interest, in random order:

My wife Lonneke; we’ve got married this April;
The company I work for and partly own: Tribal Internet Marketing;
My MacBook Air; this piece of hard- and software has really changed my online life;
Online Marketing and SEO; It’s more a hobby than a job;
My iPhone; no I don’t have the 3G yet, but still love the “old” version;
Management issues; I’m the manager of 20+ online marketing specialists and will share with you what I run into managing all those great people;
Soccer; I’m an active soccer player myself and like to support the team of the city I live in: Nec Nijmegen (yes, everyone has it’s weakness)
And everything else I run into and want to share with you all…

So, hope to see you back here some time, or follow me on all change on the right.
