Updating iPhone to firmware 2.0
Since it’s my holiday I now have the time to upgrade my jailbreaked Iphone to software version 2.0. I’m always kind of anxious to do such an update, because I can’t imagine to have to miss my Iphone because of a wrong update.
I’m using the Pwnage Tool 2.0.1 tool for updating.
Let’s take a look at he process so far…
First I went to look for the best jailbreaking tool and found Pwnage. Downloading the tool and following the instructions, made me very curious…
The first attempt however went wrong. I got the message that my sim was not supported and could not ue my iPhone. The second try (and half an hour later) gave me the same result.
That’s when I start taking a real good look at the manual (read the f**cking manual) and found out that I forgot to press the [alt] key before restoring from iTunes. That did the trick.
Firmware 2.0 is now correctly installed and now I’m restoring all my music, meetings, contacts, etc. back to my iPhone.
I’ll keep you updated on my experiences with 2.0 and if something strange comes up.

I did the same 2 weeks ago. It took quite some time for the jailbroken iPhone to restart. I als got some error other than yours (something with 1600, but I can’t remember exactly).
Finally everything went well and I’m happy using firmware 2.0, although it seems a bit slower…
