Today Apple announced that their revenue went up by 38% in their fiscal third quarter (end 28 June). Main causes of this raise are the 2,496,000 Macs that were sold, an increase of 43 percent revenue and by selling 11,011,000 units, 12 percent more Ipods have been sold, with an revenue growth of 7%.

“We’re proud to report the best June quarter for both revenue and earnings in Apple’s history,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We set a new record for Mac sales, we think we have a real winner with our new iPhone 3G, and we’re busy finishing several more wonderful new products to launch in the coming months.”

I’m looking foward to see the numbers for the next quarter and what the effect of the Iphone 3G will have on those numbers.
